After the release of the complete donor kit i was hoping to see factory drivers using Asso shocks, but it seems that Ellis stays Losi any particular reason?

Since this is what he has run ever since joing X-Factory and knows the settings for Losi shock inside and out.......
Rich Lowe on the other hand (who was in the B final at Taly) is using the AE ones......

Wasn't using them when i saw his car going round...(toward end of day) But i do know many people who use the assoc one's. It is all preference, after all the assoc ones have been improved.

I asked Rich and he said he'd not had enough time to get a setup and wanted to hit the ground running at the first national to give him the best chance - he'll switch back to AE shocks when he's tested more I think.

Not sure what Kev Lee was running on his X6 at the weekend, I would imagine it was Losi like 99 per cent of the people running the car

![]() I've not had enough testing outdoors to get the car feeling right on the AE shocks just yet, given time I'll get it going though. My BJ4 uses AE shocks and that goes over bumps like they're not there...

For me its not the actual shock body or spring that i think makes the difference but its the make up of the losi piston, the edges are rounded apposed to the squared AE ones as well as the 3 hole losi to AE's 2 holes. Even when i used AE shocks on the X6 i still used losi pistons. I think this is the biggest difference and probably the cheapest component
