so stoked - just got a slash today off the 'bay. It's looks great- 4mm turnbuckles, rose joints, telescoping driveshafts with real spicer u-joints.... very impressed so far. Rather dubious centre of gravity - but hey - body roll looks awesome...
![]() Shame not so many people run them over here, but I'm totally looking forward to having a go in SC class racing soon... This weekend at Stotfold perhaps?? Who else runs slashes? Happy with your truck? Cheers, Ty |

I maintain on loose surfaces the slash is one of the most fun RCs I’ve ever had.
Bar electronics, the only changes made to mine; thicker diff oil, putting some electric tape on the underside of the gearbox housing (where to two sides join) to prevent dirt getting in, and sticking Traxxas foam washers on the body posts to stop the body rattling.

Cool! What gearing do people run for racing?
I bought it as a roller, and haven't even torn it open to find out which spur is in there - though I could easily find out as the seller did include the other stock one with the package.... It did not, however, come with a pinion - so I've put an order in with DMS today for an 18 and a 20 to start with. I'll almost certainly be running a mild "Eraser" LRP 9.5 brushless in it. (it's really not that aggressive of a motor, despite the low wind...) Cheers, Ty |
