After my original servo horn slipping on my xx4 twice in as many weeks, I have decided to invest in some KO alternatives... Can anyone tell me which one to fit.. The longest one is similiar in length to the original part or there is a slightly shorter one..??? Probably makes no differance. Looking at various pictures o xx4's with theze fitted it seems everyone has opted for the slightly shorter one??

Is it definatley the servo horn slipping? Usually the bellcrank goes first.

I did think this, but the fact the horn on the servo had moved off centre told me that it was the servo horn??? Agree?

I'd go with Col on this one. Check the bellcrank end of the linkage, it should be "keyed" into place. I bet it's stripped and moved round a few splines.
If it's that, then replace both parts and also change the screw that secures the arm. You need a countersink screw about 5/8" in length, and a countersink to flat washer. This will spread the load and stop the spline from stripping again. |

i also found that if you drill the hole about 5 -10 mm deeper and use a longer screw you dont get these probs at all
