Default predator lay-down suspension

I was just curious to know the technical name for the suspension used in the x10 and 11. I know its used in various other things such as Formula 1. I was trying to do a bit of research to understand this technology better, but it'd help if i actually knew what it was called.

I did a little google searching on both those names, but nothing seeming to be relevant, any one have a good read or link about them. perhaps ill check "how things work", they usually have some good animated diagrams. btw, thanks for the input.
