Default advice for a new motor

hi guys, now i need some advice on which motor i should go for as i definatly need a new one. i also would like to know where the cheapest place for getting motor lube is. firstly though, i need a motor that has good torque (buggy), isnt too pricy, comes recomended and is reliable. im looking to spend about 10-20 pounds but dont personally know which motors are good, crap, unreliable, shite etc. but i know most of you guys do. oh yeah i nearly forgot, It needs to be no less than 14 Turn please. as i am currently using a 10 i think and my esc is literally nearly melting.

thanks a bunch'!

alex

checkpoint or V2 motors are the best for ease of maintenance. And both are pretty quick an torquey.

To be honest for your budget you won't get anything new. Your best bet is see if someone has a second hand V2 motor for £20.
What speedo are you running? If it can handle the 10t then it should be fine with something like a 12x2. Not many people carry motors less than 12-13t, otherwise they switch to 19t. A good 19t motor, new for £30 would be your other option.

Id save a bit more and pick up a decent used V2 or such. £20 will probably get you a well used one which wont last all that long.
