Well, I decided to start another thread as the other got hijacked in to a 'slag off the modders' thread...
![]() I'm nearly done with the first prototype chassis, after much dust making with some GF sheet and a dremel... Just need to finish off the rough edges and drill the holes then I can throw it together and see how she looks. I'll pop some pics up on here when it's done. Overall the chassis is about 80-90mm wide in total (from memory, I'm at work now and can't remember my measurements!), with cells in a saddle formation running cells 3 front and 3 rear, moved forward slightly. A Futaba 9550 servo will go in the front, with the Spektrum Rx just behind it, and the ESC will go above the cells at the back, mounted on the top deck. She's nearly there now, will get pics posted ASAP! ![]() |

but that just keeps the battery arrangement the same, mine is running 3x3 across the car, rather than 6 inline. everything's down the centreline of the chassis, and once it's carbon fibre it should look sweet.
Just going to have to make my own bodyshell now! |
