Default Racing Sunday 14th Febuary 2010

Racing this Sunday as normal if the weather holds. It is looking like a very cold one.

Laptop issues I hope to have resolved and last week was the first time we'd had an issue.

Just need this rubbish winter to depart for spring and summer!

If I'm racing it'll be Cat SX as B4 has been partly stripped.

Mmm I think the only people that will split those boys are better drivers that come in from elsewhere. They are way above the rest of us

Dan will be running brushless shortly! He's still running a brushed motor etc! he also shows how great the ZX5 and XX4 still is.. He has a 6.5 waiting in the wings

Remember when the dry comes they're just going to be further ahead of the rest of us... Oh and Steve got 13 laps in that greasy wet stuff last weekend

I'll bet he breaks a 15 this summer with 4WD! Roll on the great weather so I can drive the XXCR and get my Cougar SV here along with the SX2

It is great seeing them race against each other.

If there are the same numbers of 2wd as last week is it possible to have 2 2wd heats as the rostrum is a bit crowded. I know we are pushed for time as someone mentioned we were running late last week, and we had very little time for car maintenance or set up changes but perhaps we could start earlier.

I did wonder about spilting the heats and will be doing that in future if there are 10.

I'll be making sure the laptop doesn't mess up this week...

Don't think we'll have the same numbers as last week for 2WD. As the weather gets better it'll certainly be the case.

I'm quite happy to start at 08:30 to get more heats in or slow things down etc.

Results are at www.torchracing.org.uk/results

I got the meeting back last night - better late than never

Oh and I'm going to ban any more B4s! If we get 10 2WD again the heats will be split...

Oh and another thing, if you look at the 2WD heat 1 results you all stopped at the warble. Next time keep bloody going until it says you've finished!

I to would like to slow the pace a little, you need time to fix breakages or make setup changes.
Is there any more news on a full days racing, I for sure would love this to happen and i know it will bring new faces to the track.
Also want to see a bit more structure to all race meetings, IE; proper qualifying and perhaps a 3 leg final, if you understand me .
I'm not having a dig, I just want the club to grow and see this as the stumbling block for the more hardcore racers out there.

Were are looking at this, but we also need numbers up in order to get more heats for qualifying.

I'll be talking with the other commitee members about a AGM

Tony, we plan to test the water with a all day meeting, 9am to 4pm, this will give direction and sustainabitliy for future repeats. However based on feedback from you the members will dictate future success. Format is key, but what USP will others come and play. I feel a little more work on the track and facilities will secure a future more all day meetings.

We will propose a date once all other National/Regional Meets are confirmed and ask the members for their support.

As Steve has mentioned I'm keeping an eye on dates and am adding them a spreadsheet so we try not to clash. I'm only taking into account 1/10th off road unless someone says something, but it'll be hard not to clash with something if you include all the other classes of racing.

I asure you Steve, Julian and myself will do our best

I have run diags on the laptop and it all looks ok. However I have one rule coming into play for those that may help with the computer. Under no circumstances will it be used for anything else apart from running the meeting. After racing has finished it "may" be used for something else. If it is then a) you better have a bloody good reason and b) you may have some upset racers if it breaks....

Sunday the weather is looking cold, but sunny. So fingers crossed

With the numbers last week I'd like to mix it with the 2WD, but that prob won't be until my Cougar SV turns up. B4 motor and servo have come out so it'll be Cat SX again this weekend
