Chaps that have been before or are going this year (Pidge, Tony, Matt, Si etc) ?

What’s the craic with tyres, spell it out to me. How long to fronts/rears last in 2wd and 4wd. What are the tyres and is that a defo? (I’ve lost my information from Danny already  )

What’s the tyres in the wet and how do they last?

Any other important info I should know? Going to be ordering very soon so really need to know please!

We’re travelling Wednesday so to have Thursday and Friday practise

Dan

Didn't you post the exact same questions a few months ago? Didn't I answer? Or am I losing my mind?

Short answer: yellow minipins and stagger ribs. Last all day if needed.

Wet: BB pink minipins.

Actually you may well be right, I'll have a look.

Not that you do 4wd but does one set last all day then too?

No, 4WD fronts wear out faster.

last year yellows in 2wd lasted all day.

in 4wd 2-3 sets of yellows would be plenty, although many people used one new set per run in 4wd. Totally unnecessary, i reckon.

A lot of the fast guys in 4wd were using cut & shut tyres to avoid the ballooning factor....

Yeah.. Cut'n'Shut Yellow MiniPins are the best tyre. It a bit of a mamouth task to do though. If I remember right, you reduce the width, circumference and the side-wall height. Something like 4 different cuts and glue lines, but it's worth it for the ultimate laptimes.
