im using tamiya wire system from a sand viper teu 101bk and servo and reciever .. just seem to have a problem going in a straight line plus my servo trim if full over to one side just to try and straighten the wheels..
im a complete newbie to this and a 41 year old begginer so any help would be good please .. and another quick one is thier and clubs or anything in the woking area were i might get help with it ? |

I would think you need to set all the trims on your handset to zero, or the middle, remove the servo horn from the servo and reattach it in a central position (with the wheels straight).

You just unscrew the servo horn, the thing that turns when you move the steering, you may need to take the servo out also to do that, and pop off the ballcups if needed. Reset the trims, power on the car and let the servo centre, replace the servo horn in a central position, put the servo back in, pop the ballcups back on and trim from there.

i got a problem i cant get the screws out the are hold the servo into the car they are the hex head ones and the hex has gone is thier any way to remove these screws ?

Dremel with a cutting disc, cut a slot in the screw and use a flat head screwdriver.

Also once you,ve sorted out the servo horn is central, check the turnbuckles and adjust to suit.

will this set do the job EDS Racing Products 4 Piece Allen Driver Set (1.5,2.0,2.5,3.0mm)
will they get the dodgie screws out do you reckon ? i did use a cheap bog standard allen when i built it . |

should be fine, the Madrat is metric.
Also when you take the servo out, make sure the front wheels move side to side freely. If they are stiff to turn then your steering may be binding, and a weak servo will struggle to turn them. In that case, check over the steering posts etc and maybe back off the screws a quarter turn.
