This has most likely been talked about else where on this forum and others, but what power supply does anyone recommend and amp rating?
Mainly use it at home straight from the mains, to save me bringing in a 12v from the garage. Obviously to power my charger, discharger and a soldering iron. Thanks,

Jonathan, I use the muchmore 24amp worlds edition power supply, and its ace, however there are many out there and a wide variety of prices to suite all budgets. There are some good ones by pro peak.
As with everything you pays your money you takes your chance.

i bought the pro peak one two days and it powering all my stuff great and improves my 12v soldering irons performance hugely. Early days yet though but was much cheaper than the others listed in the shop. Using the mains power is a novelty for me at the moment so ive been searching for things to solder and been cycling my batteries

i got the muchmore 24amp one, its looks great and does its job,
but is only an average power supply. voltage is not stable at the preset level when you apply a load through it. when u compare the weight of it (3/4kg) to other power supplies at 25amps which weigh 3kg, you prob understand why. |

I use a converted PC power supply. You get a 3.3V output for the lathe too.

i'm hoping to go down the PC power supply route.
What spec or model are people using for this?
