Hi,
many of you may have seen from some of the set up sheets on the TD website that the front and rear pistons are drilled. I drill the front 2 hole pistons to 1.2mm and the rear 3 hole pistons to 1.4mm. Loads of people ask where they can buy the drill bits from to do this so here you go: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PACK-OF-10-HSS...item2300b7cfa7 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PACK-OF-10-HSS...item29fd37847b ![]() Craig Collinson |

Just to correct my post i use 2 hole pistons in the front drilled to 1.3mm not 1.2mm.

Is anyone outside of the UK successfully using drilled pistons?
I just wonder if this mod is to suit the UK tracks, or more to compensate for the rubber boots on the shocks.

I tried to drill piston but didn't mesure any différence on track (La ferte Gaucher, dirt indoor : http://www.quartzrc.fr/pistes%20voiture.php?cat=piste interieure). There are some jumps since this picture ![]() To compensate the rubber boot suck effect here is the solution I used : ![]() |
