1.3mm and 1.4mm drill bits for your pistons

Hi,

many of you may have seen from some of the set up sheets on the TD website that the front and rear pistons are drilled.

I drill the front 2 hole pistons to 1.2mm and the rear 3 hole pistons to 1.4mm.

Loads of people ask where they can buy the drill bits from to do this so here you go:

thats where i got mine from,they are ok but arnt hight quality,just make sure you check them as some of them arnt straight,but they do the job

Just to correct my post i use 2 hole pistons in the front drilled to 1.3mm not 1.2mm.

Is anyone outside of the UK successfully using drilled pistons?

I just wonder if this mod is to suit the UK tracks, or more to compensate for the rubber boots on the shocks.

Hi,

I tried to drill piston but didn't mesure any différence on track (La ferte Gaucher, dirt indoor : http://www.quartzrc.fr/pistes%20voiture.php?cat=piste interieure). There are some jumps since this picture.

To compensate the rubber boot suck effect here is the solution I used :
