Ive set my x-6 squared up to the X-factory UK std set-up on associated threaded shocks.
Ive fitted blue springs on front with 35 weight and silver springs on rear with 27.5 weight. The back feels extremely soft in comparison to the front which feels quite hard. Does this normal or have i done something wrong? Will be running the car indoor on a medium grip carpet track with yellow spikes. Thanks in advance Jamie..... |

It does feel like that mate. Ive since tried a different setup with a firmer rear end and softer front to try and get rid of some of that understeer and i like the way it feels. The standard setup seems far too Safe for my liking but makes it very easy to drive and inspires confidence. Try it, you might like it

Did you make it softer by running a lighter oil or just softer springs?

I would say the rear oil could be a little thin, if you are finding understeer go up to 32.5 or try the middle hole on the rear wishbone.
Don't forget to get the weights in Jamie ![]() |

i moved to softer springs on the front, thicker oil at rear, and stood the shocks up more. I also put about 150g around servo + speedo area. I hate adding weight but it definately works mate

Thanks for the replies guys. I have built another set of shocks ready with 32.5 weight and again silver springs. Will give them both a try and see what works.
And Craig, ive finally added weights to my car. Almost a year of owning the x-6 and only now im adding weight. LOL, guess ive been too lazy up untill now. Jamie... |
