Default b4..balance chassis on 1 side with lead?

got all my electrics in the b4

losi excelorin
orion 7.5 sintered motor
spekky micro rx
amb pt
trakpower 4900

weighed it and its underweight, but also quite a bit out on chassis left to right balance...normal??

i use a 6mm wide stainless bar to balance it on,levelled on worktop with same results on 4 worktops, the chassis is heavier on speedo side.

if i add 50 grammes at the side of the receiver it brings the chassis back to the chassis being correctly left/right balanced

anyone else finding this?

Thats how I did mine Dave, and try and get the weight up front. It will work a lot better with some weight over the nose

And don't forget, pretty much everyone runs Heavy any way. No need to try and be Light.

The Power available nowadays with the Brushless motors and the ease of delivery with Big Mah LiPo's take all the worry of dumping away.

And being a bit heavier settles the skitishness of them.

car was fine on sunday for the final when i had got it sorted on setup but i had been struggling a bit on left handers..i wonder if the weight balance issue was stopping the car rolling as much on that side hence why i struggled a bit..guess i will find out this weekend

even us 8th drivers like things to be right rich

just making some thumbscrews now and all done for weekend.

i also made a nylon bar that runs across the rear of the battery as the 4900 is too thick to get the battery brace under it,so i cut some 2mm nylon sheet and used the rear brace bolts to fasten it down so battery brace goes under that, with it being nylon its flexible too, trimmed the end off the battery brace and all good.
