hi i got a b4 off here rtr 5.5 turn motor with 81 spur gear and 20 pinion it been run fine for a while and today i tested it as it was setup and after about 8 mins it was over heating ,but i can normal use all my battery till it goes flat. any help would be good

Why do you have to run it until flat? Recomended storage for lipo's is 3/4 charged I think.

Were you doing anything differently? I know you've mentioned before you run it through wet grass. maybe the grass grew taller, and thus has increased drag?
Have you changed the brake settings? I know you mentioned before that you were having problems with the brake settings on the ESC, when the brake settings are set higher they normally increase the load on the ESC and can result in higher temperatures. Have you considered maybe venting the ESC with small holes in the shell? Sometimes a good idea is to cut a decent size hole, and then put some fine mesh across; this stops debris entering the chassis. Julius. |

yes i changed the brakes to full power no drag on it and the back end lock up when you hit the brakes. but apart from that just solder a wire that had come off that it ,but the grass was a bit wet and a bit of mud but the car was still ripping the grass up

Surely a 5.5T is too much for a EZ run - probably themalling
