Default Novak HV 6.5-Issue help needed!

Hi guys Im running a
1/8th Brushless RC8 Conversion with the Novak conversion kit with;
Novak HV Pro 6.5 Motor and esc
1)Hyperion G3 5500 35C Brand New Lipo
1)Flightpower 5000 25C Lipo-Lighly used
SR1000 RX
And newish Savox-1258
And New EC5 Connectors

Im having a issue.. which I cant work out.. If I do loads of steering ect and sometimes after a while it will either slow and only turn half instead of full lock. Or will stay straight until I let off everything then it seems to be ok again.. for abit then will happen again. On the instructions it shows if this colour shows this is the issue but it flashes red and amber when it stops. Which isnt on the Problem solving. At 1st thought it was the servo so tried another and still same issue... And changed to a newer rx and still same. The batts are fully charged too.. what could be the issue. Its like it would happen on low battery but its on a full battery.. Like it cant handle the voltage.. the rc8 and motor esc was brought of a mate. Which its only been used few times.. So its not like its been killed before.. any help really appreciated..

The ESC's BEC probably can't handle the current draw. Get a small Lipo receiver pack (like a 7.4V 800mAh) and run it through a separate BEC for the steering. Remove the red wire from the ESC's Rx plug. This should solve the problem.

You could try it with just a 5-cell NiMH pack, to see if it makes any difference.

Yea thanks Marvin may try that.. Or tbh I may just sell it and get a used mamba or something. I just tried fiddling with it, and Im about to throw it off a cliff in a minute. Prefer to get a ESC like the mamba or rx8 that dosnt need a seperate BEC ect.. .. so will do some browsing.. I have changed it so its for single pack now-Which it says but now wont even power the esc.. even with a rx pack plugged in. The fan moves but nothing on the esc.. so p*ssed off.. tbh

Stick it on both 7.4V packs, put a 5-cell pack in the receiver, take the red wire out of the ESC's Rx wire. Then turn it all on. This should cure it.

I will say that the MMM and RX8 are both superior to the Novak. Then again, the Novak was designed about 4 years ago, but I don't think they should have marketed it for 1/8 applications, as it just isn't enough.

I know fusionhobbies sell the rx8.. do they have them instock ect? as tempted to get it from them.. tbh? any opinions on them...
What so connect my 14.8v pack and take the red wire out of the esc rx wire??

Don't get an RX8 yet! The motor is a little hit and miss at the moment (the rotors keep failing). If you just want the ESC on it's own, then go for it, it is very good.

Remove the red wire from the ESC's receiver plug. This is the middle wire. Plug a Rx pack into the Battery port of your receiver, then connect the rest up as usual.
