i am also hoping to run my RB5, will this be a problem? i have the correct motor/tyres.....

also, as i dont run lipo, will there be an electric hook up for me to be able to charge battery's?

what time is the hall open? or what time should i get there?

how much to race? can i become a member or is that not the way you guys do it?

Many Thanks in advance

Hi Karl.

No problem running the RB5. There are a couple of 2WD cars out there, but we are predominantly a 4WD club due to the nature of the surface we race on. Don't expect to be the quickest but track time is what it's all about when you're learning your racecraft.

There's mains power available - most are on LiPo but we still need to recharge at least once during the evening. As well as having soldering irons and such to power. Might be an idea to bring a short extension lead or "multi-socket" with you just in case - we don't have unlimited mains sockets.

Hall is open from soon after 6. As soon as the track is built it's open practice till around 7.30 - 7.45. If you aim to get there around 6.30 I won't be far behind and can ease you into your first race meeting.

First night's racing is free. Memberships are up for renewal in January but if you decide it's going to be a regular thing for you, you will need BRCA membership (which we can do for you) after 3 meetings. We'll talk about membership fees and such when we see you Wednesday. Needless to say annual membership is very cheap, and each night's racing costs less than a pint of beer

See you Wednesday - and if you need any more info you know where to ask

Dave.
