Default Team Orion esc, worth fixing?

Looks like I've blown my Orion Vortex 70A. Now its not an expensive esc to start with, but there isn't anything out now even remotely as cheap, so the question is - is it worth sending off for repairs?
How much do esc repairs cost these days anyway? The last thing I had repaired was a Mtroniks VHF900 back in '99 so I've no idea what it costs.....

Might be worth sending it and getting a quote before any work is carried out.

I've still got the card so could try the warranty trick. Only it was bought when Mirage were the importers, who does Orion now?
Suspect it my fault though. I've been jinxed with electrics this week!

I'd still give Kyosho a call, it's worth a try.
