Default SP LPF speedo question ?

I have borrowed a SP LPF off a mate for my B44 and it's cogging ever so slighlty off the bottom end of the power.

I have a brand new losi 13.5 (I'm not a girl, it's for indoors at Faversham!) and a new sensor lead.

All the EPA are set ok to 100.

One thing I have noticed is that there is no capacitor on the + / - ? Will this be having an effect?

I want to give the car a run on Wednesday.

What does the capacitor do? Can I use any other type, ie Novak?

you certainly need to be running a capacitor and will more then likely solve the problem you have. all speedos are supplied with one

there are a few different types available for them, they do the one you mention Dan & also one the same as a Novak one. think there will be a smaller one out soon similar to LRP/Nosram

Cheers chaps! So I'll have a look for a capacitor at the LHS

So does this store energy in it so it gives a smooth power transition?

It smooths out the power supply of your batteries so that should you draw more power than your battery is able to provide immediately the voltage doesn't drop to the point where the speedo starts conking out, which feels like cogging.
Running without a cap could also make your speedo go bang...
