Hi Guys,
Just finished this saddle pack ZX-5, no not an FS. Has 4mm turnbuckles and 3 racing alloy shock tower mounts. I've also cut the Carbon top deck to aid in diff rebuilds so you only have to undo half the screws. Internal rx antenna makes for a neat install. Balance left to right is perfect and total weight of 1600gms. Cheers |

Cool, how do you find those standard Kyosho tyres? Mine understeers badly & I'm hoping schumacher yellows sort it out but I haven't tried them yet. Mine is a RTR one.

Thanks for the comments. Our local track has a great 4wd following with losis, B44s, Yokomos, durgas, Cats and evan a 501X running around, all very competitive.
I'm in Oz so we can get them in Med and Hard compounds from our distributor, quite expensive but seems to last longer than IFMAR studs. The rear sway bar sorted my under steer out. I have heaps of steering now with this layout as well though. Yeah I was quite pleased with the install, all the electrics seem to be made for it. I've just finished a 3mm HDPE chassis now. Lighter than the stock plastic chassis but now with no damb holes!!. Batterys are just taped down. I only ever use one pack anyway. It saved 30 grams. |

Yep, Standard triple cap shocks. The idea for the rocker on the laydown shocks was to keep the travel of the shock and arms the same as standard, so as not to require shorter travel shocks or create an undesirable rising rate. I'm trying to get the maths right to output a graph and compare it to the standard set up.
I tried a 0.7mm chassis and it tweaked the rear end on hard hits. I have replaced it back to a carbon one for now. I'll try a 1.2mm chassis next. The rear suspension has also been redone with a couple of adjustments to stop any binding of the inner ball cups. The front is also under revision with a change in the rocker link position to get it away from the bumper area. 4mm links have been replaced with ti 3mm buckles with longer cups. I must say though the saddle layout definitly is an improvement. It jumped very flat and even... More pics soon. |

What makes you think the durango is not that good? Admittedly with some of the best drivers, they are doing very well indeed over here.

When I've been to club races to watch there seems to be a lot of people with Durango's. Infact I'm starting to wish I'd bought one instead of the ZX-5.
