Default Preds in the United States...

how would an X11 with the big bore shocks likely handle rough and blown out tracks that have been used by 1:8 buggies? I've heard of durability issues with the older predators, but I haven't heard any durability issues with the new X11. I'm a relatively new racer, been racing on and off for a few years, but all on-road, so I'll probably break a few more parts than a more experienced driver would just on crashes, but is the Predator going to hold up to a rough and blown out track? thanks for helping out a potential X11 owner

Im sure most 10th cars will struggle a bit on blown out 8th tracks but i honestly don't think you can go much further than the x11.....

At one of our Nationals this year the Factory Associated drivers were having to put Losi shocks on there car as it was that bumpy. The Pred flew through these bumps!!!!

I would make sure you go for the x11 08 version and make sure you do the team mods, setups can be found on the www.the-pred.co.uk

thanks, I'm a rather old member over on the-pred.co.uk back from when it was on the original forum, back I think when the X10 came out, or shortly thereafter.

pardon my ignorance, but when you say the 08 version of the X11, what do you mean? did they change the spec at all between '08 and '09, and if so, what was it about the '09 that makes it not as desirable as the '08?

The '08 as it is being called is the original X11 with some mid-production improvements. Most notably the big-bore shocks and some other reliability improvements, I believe.

There isn't an official '09 spec, yet. I am kind of hoping that happens ... or maybe an X11 '10 The exchange rates are sort-of back to normal so it makes the Pred less unafordable for those of us in the USA

'nuff said,

thats correct about the x11-08 spec it is same as normal x11 but with them mods which is well worth having the car is durable as im not the best of drivers and i did a season without a breakage
