This is just poo i never got a race last year and more than likely i wont get a racethis year.

you need to do some regional's ash, get your license grade up, mind u saying things like stupid BRCA won't help

I know its just so annoying that i didnt even get in one it was the smae case last year. That is why this year im doing all 2 and 2wd regionals and im going to get my F3

Look at it as a rite of passage thing Ashley. This will be my third year doing regionals and i might consider trying to do nationals next year but i know i am not really good enough. I finished my first year dead last and went from F5 to F5.... Last year i made F3 in 4wd but i have to say my 2wd driving leaves a lot to be desired. I did go to the F3's and had a great time made the C final in 4wd, my cars even made it onto oople, which was cool.

Dont think you can expect to be in the nationals if your still F5 which I assume you are.
I wouldnt bother applying for nationals until I was F3, I might never do them. Regionals are great and you can get up to F2 in them, why not do lots of regionals to get your formula rating up instead of moaning because you didnt make nationals.

Eyup peeps, I got my letter back for the Nationals and I only got into 1. However, im placed 2,4,6,6 and 10 for some of the other rounds.

How far down the reserve list does a typical national go? Am i likely to get into any?

I should imagine you'll get into the 2 and 4 one. Think about how many people attend nationals, theres bound to be a few who cant go

I never got into any, i am reserve in every one, unless i get confirmed an entry before the event i really dont think i will be attending them i dont fancy driving from durham to tiverton on a gamble i might get in

Regionals i think for me and then my assault on the nats next year

They call a week before the meeting to let you know if you are in or not.

There is definitely enough club and regional racing around to keep most happy - I didn't do enough regionals which is why I'm not in the Nats this year. The Truggy Nationals seem to coincide with the Regionals a bit- So if I do those then I definitely wouldn't get into Nationals next year. What a dilemma!
Still - there's always tiverton to look forward to, anyone can get in there!

Wayne, I think you will DEFO get in the 2,4 and 6's, people down to 13th etc so I also think you'll get in the 10 one too to be honest. Lets hope they mark all croner apex's at nationals eh so you can't accidentally keep stealing a yard and bump into me eh

hehe!! I marshalled next to that corner and looked at the line I took and there was no cutting of the track, I just took a tighter line so it was perfectly valid hehe!!

However I must say I was quite aggressive in the corner and do apologise for my coming together with you, I take full responsibility!!

Well Jordan's an F4, we race at our regional's, this year we entered 3 Nationals and are on reserve in the higher 20's !

I do not feel that we do not deserve to get in because we are not good enough, hell, we pay our fees, spend loads of money on cars and tires and bits and are "well involved" at our level. We are part of this sport and enjoy it.

What about one less heat or only two leg A finals to allow more racers ?

Got mine today and got in for all 5 i entered, Booking in caravan i got the last space at Stotfold!!!

there's already at least 130 racers and at some venues that's too many due to pitting space.
its a national series so cutting corners just isnt on and at the end of the day its for the top drivers in the uk so the f1/f2/f3's will get priority thats the whole point of the license grade just because you spend loads of money and are well involved doesnt and shouldnt count for anything really!
plus as you only entered 3 events out of 6 you will go to the bottom of the pile of f4's wishing to enter, plus to say ''I do not feel that we do not deserve to get in because we are not good enough'' is wrong, all the f1/2/3's that got in are better that's why they got a higher license grade thats why they got in, thats why we do a regional series to make things fare!
