Default 501x weight to add?

How much weight do you guys add when running lipos?

Hi Shanks, I added none,as the car is quite heavy anyway the only thing I changed was the rear springs, with cells I used associated silver,with lipo associated green, the car feels better with a bit less weight in the rear,give it a go and see what you think .

It is quit heavy but I was more thinking they are designed to work with mih bats and lipos are a lot lighter

yes thats true, but i've raced both the 501x and 511 and both cars are better with lipo and no weight, with cells they both want to 'rotate' too much on the rear and mid corner it's very loose mainly on slippy floor,my advise would be to try it with no weight then add as you need, but also remember to try the softer spring on the rear with lipo.

Fair enough will go for some trial and error - have already added a little weight 3 strips infilling battery slots on opp side to motor which seemed to help with jumping.

Spring wise I am using kyosho flour green on front they are about 10 mm longer than ass and stiffer than ass blue - extra length seems to make suspension work better to me- on the back I use kyosho blues which I believe are slightly stiffer than ass green-ass green seemed to make the back compress too much and be more slidy - could be me of course !
