Default Brushless motor problems!!!

hi, i have an LRP sphere comp 2007 edition (7.5) and last meeting the car was very strange. it started making a bit of a rattling noise and then that stopped. Now there seems to be a 'black spot' where if the flat on the shaft is facing up, i cannot get the motor to move. The red, yellow and blue lights all seem to flash randomly and the speed drops offto about 1/2 to 1/3 of normal. I took it apart and there appeared to be nothing wrong with the magnet (standard one, not sintered). Put it back together and it was fine again for 2 laps.......broke again....this morning i went outside and its fine!!!!!! WTF is going on???!!!

Help would be much appreciated! dont want to buy a new one if i can fix it!

sounds like a sensor problem could be the wire motor or speedo though so you will need to elimnate them one by one

I also checked the set up was correct, that didnt make any difference. origionally when the motor wouldnt turn at all, when i pressed throttle / break, the red and yellow lights flashed on and off

to be 100% sure you need to try the a motor you know that works with your current electrics and if its works properly you know it your current motor that has a fault and if it doesnt work you have speedo problems. am sure they will be both repairable though. prob have to send them back to smd if there still covered by warranty.
