Default What Servo

Having stripped the 'El Cheepo' steering servo in my XXX-CR yesterday, I need to replace it!
I have 2 Losi servos, which I think are made by JR, One is heavy duty the other is high torque.

Really, I'm wondering are these any good in your opinion or should I bite the bullet and get something a little more Newby proof!

to be honest in a 2wd you would be better with a high speed servo. the high torque is only really needed for 4wd or trucks.

i had a KO 2113, high speed with plastic gears, and the 2123, same spec with metal gears (more reliable). You can get these on ebay for about £35 or less.

Or try one of the new bluebird servos, they are normally around £35 new and the specs look pretty good for the money

KO seem to be quite popular, but also quite pricey. I have run them for ages with few problems.
If you want something bomb proof, try the Sanwa ERG range, various speed/torque versions are available, Still not cheap (circa £50-60 new on ebay), but you'll unlikely ever have to buy another

Bluebird servos are very good, very reasonably priced, strong, torquey and are more than quick enough. the 617 is a very good servo.. I run one in both my cars and am more than happy with them. I think Jimmy has ran one of these in his last two review cars also.

You show me where you can get them for £35 or less, and i'll be more than willing to be slapped with a kipper.

2123 servos are expensive, even when second hand as they are very good, reliable and last a life time.

give me a kipper then!!! I bought mine on ebay for under £35 second hand. My 2113 was under £30, but i have since replaced the gears with a metal set.
Just have to be lucky who you are bidding against i suppose!

I run a Hi-tech 5925MG although that would be overkill for a 2wd buggy really.
