Default xcelorin 7.5T smoke

Decided to just check things over before tomorrow and now when I run the motor I get a burning smell and smoke. About 30 seconds running.. What the hell is gone wrong now

Checked the wires and all looks ok.

It gets very hot quickly, motor is just getting hotter and hotter

Looks like I won't be racing for a couple of weeks now

Spektrum / KO Helios
LRP SPhere TC
LIPOS and NIMHs

Sounds like one of the sets of windings is burning out, or is shorting slightly. Take/Send it back IMO.

Otherwise check that the wires match up correctly from the speedo to the tabs. If it sounds quite noisy, then you may have some of the wires matched up incorrectly, which means that the rotor is not turning properly (if you see what I mean). It would also explain the motor getting hot!

Check this first!

Could be the rotor going/magnet. Would also explain it getting hot. Have you possibly overgeared it, or not run it yet?

Horizon deal with Losi electrics. PM Southwell on here for more info.

It ran fine last weekend in the garden and then I come to run it now. Nothing... Didnt think I'd overgeared it.

It's smoking with no wheels attached etc. and then I removed the pinion

OK I'll PM him

Sounds faulty to me then....
Must be shorting out internally somewhere on one of the windings.
