Default Laptop

I am considering buying a laptop. I cant afford new, as limited budget, (the cheaper the better) I need it to go on the net, be reasonably quick, but most of all, reliable... what should i be looking for.. any advice appreciated... cheers

Look at Dell or better HP. You can probably get a good deal on one off ebay or maybe here. Best to go for an intel cpu IMO.

Depends also on how your are going to use it, i.e if its your main pc then you'll probably want something with a good size screen etc. If its going to be a sofa / outdoor pc then some of the small ones with more basic screens can be great for practically and battery life and cheap also.

Ive got a advent netbook pal, no cd drive but perfect for internet and messing around, bit of music. Think they are about 250 new now and its my only computer, i use it at work as well i just chuck it in the glove box in the car. Well worth a look.
