Definately, I also think you should lose your FTD for standing there, gassing to another marshal and not being attentive... and the BIGGEST no-no, is on the friggin mobile... I mean, can't it wait 5 mins?

Every drivers deserves to have his run marshalled!!! And the rules at this time state to loose your fastest time if you dont marshll. So this is how it should be!!!

Definately. You always appreciate it when a marshall sorts your car out when you crash or a connector pops out so I think your obliged to marshall so they dont go through the same.

Its just selfish to not marshall, anybody caught should be locked in the stocks and have rotten tomatos thrown at them.

But seriously, everybody on the rostrum will expect the marshall to be at the post, and react to the roll - sometimes expecting the marshall to dive for the car before it has stopped tumbling, we have all done it, shouted, huffed and thought "the marshall cost me 3 seconds" when it is the mistake that caused the need for being marshalled.. Then for a driver to then ignore the marshall duties after any race... well, they must think the marshalls are there for just their own car and any other car that rolls is less important.... well it isn't.... but to be fair also, I can't think of anybody like this who I know - which is good.

Also, any 'top heat' driver who marshalls heat 1 and proceeds to ridicule the driving of that heat, I beleive should also be penalised.

ok, who is the one person who said no? no brave enough to give their reasons!
its ok for the driver not to marshall the next race (time consiming breakage etc) as long as they get their post covered by someone else i assume?

you only don't marshall if you have a medical reason not to.
and it's not me.

don't really know what you mean by daft as it's plainly obvious able bodied people will help.
I think that's what you said.

Voted yes. You should definitely be penalised for not doing your part. Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. I actually quite enjoy marshalling, depending on where you are on the track, you can see other peoples lines through your section and perhaps improve on your own run next time because of it. Trying to get out of marshalling, to me, is wierd.

Yes you should lose your FTQ nobody likes doing it but it is part of racing. What Chris Long said is a valid point if you crash it is your fault not the marshals and shouting from the rostrum should not be tolerated. It can also help you if you are marshelling some of the top lads you are closer to the action and you can watch there lines(keeping an eye out for cars to marshal)

Default FTD

Please do not get me going on this subject . As a past BRCA Race Referee I am shocked that a person thinks they should not loose their FTD for not Marshalling at any MEETING. It is a pet hate of mine to see the poor standars of marshalling at 1/10 meetings these days.[ A lot worse in 1/8 Rally Cross ].
