Default Just bought X-6 squared

What better way of curing the recession blues by splashing out on a new kit! Finally gone and done it and bought a B4 and X-Factory Squared conversion from DMS Racing today.
As usual very helpful and even persuaded me that I don't need the Losi shocks just yet, see how I get on with Associated ones.
If you read this, thanks Darren for your help and sorry if I dithered over various options, just wanted to the right set up first time.
Anyway here is my shopping list
B4 FT
X 6 Squared Conv
LRP Vector 7.5
LRP Sphere TC
21/22 pinion (apparently all I need for small tight indoor and larger outdoor tracks
81 Kit spur (should I get the 78 as this seems the popular choice)
Schumacher spikes, yellow
Don't ask how much.......answer too much. What the hell.

Now for the build, aiming to run Friday but could well be with a clear bodyshell!!!

Over and out for now

Wow wee, that is a good day out for your credit card.

DEFO get a 78 spur, the 81 is likely to catch the driveshaft pin at somepoint and get damaged. The 78 will be fit and forget!

Tell me about it. I can hear a groaning from my wallet as I type this. Just ordered 78t spur, given what I have spent it makes very little difference!
Whilst I'm posting does anyone bother to tap holes first as suggested or just put some lube on the screws? Built an Associated kit a long time ago and remember stripping heads trying to get them in!

I always tap all the holes on every car I build, the X-6 is no different. It'll make the build a lot nicer.

If you don't want the screws to be to loose try this little trick, don't tap the holes the full length of the screw, this way the screw will tighten just as the screw pinches up

I resisted getting some of the bling but no doubt this will happen. You're not far off at £550, sadly not quite that cheap.
Guess I'll have to add a 4-40 tap to that lot then....

Be careful what you say Ben and Mike about the price of an X6.
