Default Thinning Pactra Paints

I have bought myself an airbrush and some pactra paint in the little jars. i am going to experiment on some cheap bodies i picked up. How much thinning of the paint is required?

Thanks Luke

Other people will probably tell you otherwise, but i used mine straight out the jar (i'm sure it says that on it?). I used a 0.25mm nozzle and it was fine

Well that does explain something, it sprayed ok but i kept getting cobweb looking things appearing on the shell. Would that be the reason?

Pactra make the normal paint in jars, same paint as the spray cans that does need thinning to airbrush or you will get cobwebs, but they also make an water based acrylic polycarbonate paint that is supposed to be ready too spray, slightly smaller jars and didn't really take off over here.

I tried painting a new shell today and thinned the paint (about 1/3 thinner) and had no problem with the cobwebs, also spayed nicely aswell, a lot easier to do fine work. Thanks Kev
