All the shocks parts are direct fit, diffs and diff gears/pinions are the same, B44 front and rear driveshafts fit, rear wishbones are identicle, front wishbones do fit but the inner part of the wishbone where it fits onto the front bulkhead needs to be cut down abit to fit, fronts hubs and castor blocks fit, most bearings are the same and thats about it i think.

Almost Mike, the rear shocks are the same, the B44 fronts have longer shafts - BJ4 shafts are from the B4. Rear wishbones need a little material taking away same as the fronts to clear the bottom of the gearbox case, unless you do as I do and remove a tiny bit from the gearbox then B4/44 arms go straight on.
I'm running B44 caster and steering blocks on my BJ4 now, they are a worthwhile upgrade ![]() |

all you have to do with the B44 shafts though is add 3mm of internal preload spacing then there the same length travel as B4 shafts if theres no B4 shafts around

On the steering block for instance, I don't understand why replace an rigid/precise aluminium steering with a b44 plastic one ?

more flex = less stress on other parts, less likely to break other parts...

Does anybody know if there is a direct fit for the rear and front axles (BJ4WE) from another car?
The axle has no partnumber for its own. I have some bones and CVD repair kit at spare, but no axle. Or do the comlete CVD front and rear fit from another car? Do the CVA from B44 fit?

I think the Rear Axle could be from Asso B4/T4 (AE-9598) because the Rear Hub Carrier is Asso AE-9584.
The B44 front CVA would be an option if they were a direct fit. But I dont want to buy 2 whole CVA's when only one axle is broken. I'm not sure with the Front Axle. If someone knows which fits please tell me.

Hi guys
![]() The front axle is from a XX/XXX4, not sure of the part number but if it fits either of those cars it will fit the BJ4. The rear axle is bespoke to the car, although a B4 one will fit and this is something I put on mine as an upgrade. The drive pin is drilled a little bit further out on the B4 axles which lets you use the blue cone washer so you can tighten the wheels without worrying about bending the drive pin or binding the bearings up. The B44 CVA's are a direct fit front and rear, but like the B4 rear axle the B44 CVA has it's pin further out so you will need to use a cone washer too. |
