Question Kyosho dNano 1/43 racer?

why isn't anyone talking about this model? i've followed this site for a while and its mostly electric support so i'm a little surprised to search and find no posts. is it catching on at all where you are?

I race Mini-Zs but never tried D-nanos. Can you tell us a little more about them, handling-wise?

they are amazingly fast and though there is only one radio option, the transmitter they do provide is adequate and offers a lot of adjustable settings from acceleration adjustment to varying break strength. optional parts include a gyro mechanism that assists in steering correction and handling in corners. i own 3 of them personally... as soon as i got a look at them, i bought one for me, the wife & my 9-yr old son. each car has a built-in transponder that can be registered for online racing with Kyosho's server. its already popular in japan but kyosho is taking their time releasing it overseas.

I love mini-z's so much, I built my own track in the loft, complete with prima GT carpet

the d-nanos would be amazing in my loft due to the relative size. I might have to invest....

sounds like me.... i built a track for the dnano and we decided to start building them for sale since the mini-z track wasn't designed for dnano use. kyosho's tracks are excellent but i'm proud of what we did

*edit* - btw, epoch racers r ok but the technology that has gone into the dNano is waaaay beyond the epoch. unfortunately, the main site has no english and they don't seem to be in a rush to translate it... its like its their new baby but i can understand knowing what they're planning

awesome tracks guys. I got a miniZ when I was in Japan for the Worlds in 07 and sometimes bust it out for a drift round the kitchen - but I've no one to race against so it doesn't see much

Shame that there is no stick radio option ..... although I have been told that there is a modual for mini-Z for use with KO transmitters ... but I run Futaba

your track is superb

is that a lamp or a laptimer on the main straight?

lol... its a lamp, sometimes i run in the evenings in low light cuz it just looks cool to see the cars zooming along a track with "streetlights" ... the laptimer is on the way, kyosho has a special one that detects and counts the imbedded transponder

You have plenty of options for controller.
from Kyosho either the KT18 or the EX5UR, or you can get a module for any KO or Futaba or Sanwa radio with a 2.4 module!!
In UK and Europe they have been available since they was first released.
