Default Tamiya Egress

Does anyone know if this will be re released by tamiya?
I always wanted one when i was younger.
Is anyone racing one at vintage events? If so, how do they handle the power of modern motors? I may try to find an old one to race.
Any opinions or help welcome.

I've heard no rumours but you never know and it would be nice

I know of no one racing one at the moment.

I would think the drive train would cope with a lot of punishment maybe not some of the real low turn motors but certainly anything down to 12x2 sort of grief. My friend ran a Vanquish for some years with hot modifiers of the time with no real issues.

In my opinion there's too much metal in the SRBs to make a re re viable hence the release of the F350 (plastic) rather than a faithfull 3-speed reproduction. So I won't hold my breath for an Avante but not such an issue with the Egress. Many Tamiya nuts cut their RC teeth on Frogs, Hornets and Grasshoppers so they were not only logical re res but also cheap to produce.

In my opinion the older cars are to expensive to make a re-release.

This is good news for the collectors...
