Default Wheels for 90's kyosho 4wds. Optimas and lazers

Hi all. Hoping you can help.

Me and a friend are looking to race our modded Lazers against modern buggies. So we want to be able to use modern 2.2'' rubber for Astro and carpet racing.

Jc racing do spokes wheels which are 2.2 and have the right offset.

We are after dishes and 5203 and 5204 (modern equivalent of 5026 & 5027) dished Kyosho wheels are proving hard to find these days.

Anyone else found any dished wheels that share the same offset? Ansmann mad rats were meant to be the same but are impossible to find as well.

Thanks

Sz

Mad rat wheels are easy to find, the Ansmann cars were rebranded Team C TC02 buggies. The parts are T02032 front and T02033 rear wheels.

Lazer zxr mk1 and mkII use the same front wheels mk2 front hubs are drilled to
Push the wheel a bit out thats why the mkII came with w5063 longer front unis ,due to the zx came with rear wheel ofset on the front
Make sence ???

Pm me if you want more info

Hpi wheels have rear wheels offset on the front

Still possible to get the hpi fivestar wheels but you have to cut the front wheels
Youreself since they are only avaliable in wide

Type in mad rat wheels on ebay and a set of black wheels appear. They are a better product than Kyoshos origional so cant go wrong with them. They are an exact duplicate of the width and dimensions of the original so nothing else to do other than fit.

Offset for those wheels nothing like the offset on the HPI 5 spoke I have on my car though, when I tried all the modern wheels I have the wheel fouled on the wishbone, luckily I discovered a box of old wheels in the loft but would still like so dish wheels to fit.

Heres my car which I believe is a MK1?

Off sets exactly the same as i use them on my racer and bought pretty much all wheels until i i found these.

Think the issue is your using narrow front end and could be the wheel ridges are nipping your wishbones, but thats easily resolved by clipping a smal v into the areas affected on the wheels.

I had some of the hpi wheels and the fronts are a different offset to the original wheels, they made the front track width the same as the rear wheels, guess it was a cheaper way to upgrade your mk1 zxr to the same width as a mk2.
give the ftx vantage wheels a try , they are the same offset as the original wheels , don't need any chopping/trimming to fit and are only £8 a set of four from the ftx website.
