Can anyone recommend a good soldering iron for 1/10 electric R/C? What's the minimum Watt rating to go for? The soldering iron I used on micros just won't work for 1/10 brushless motors..

you want a good soldering iron thats 60 to 100 watts, i'd say 70 or 80watt is about perfect for motors & batteries and most other rc solder jobs. The weller irons are really good like the one in the link above

Once again, voucher for the weller 80W, very very good. Wire is fairly heat resistant too

I had a 40W but have since bought a gas powered iron and really pleased with it. No plug to worry about, gets hot pretty quick and has a bullet tip for very precise soldering.

all depends on where your soldering, how much your going to do, and how much you want to spend
