Hi Wayne,

I think firstly you should have a visit to the club either over at Oldham where they race in the winter or wait till next year and we will be back outside at Goshen Playing fields.
DO NOT dive straight in without speaking to someone at the club because I have sen it before where they buy the wrong car and is unable to use the track.
The track ONLY races 10th off road electric.
People have tried smaller cars but the track is built for 10th.
If you are looking for a shop to advise you the most then speak with a GREAT guy called Kev Lee at Insideline Models as he races and knows all about the club.
Hope this helps.

Hi Woody, thanks for the reply, no worries on jumping in, is the summer track closed all winter to everybody, would be good to practice on dry days before i compete.
I would be looking at second hand kit complete, nothing to bling to start with.

I have been looking at the Tamiya Dark Impact, any good?

No Wayne, you should drive what's popular at the club you intend joining. Then you'll get set up help, and spares in emergency. Pop over to Counthill this Sunday when we are indoors, or next time. Someone may have equipment you can buy, and you can see how the various cars perform.
