Default KF going back to base setup?

Since most of us with original KF's have our buggies fully modded now (alloy chassis, LGC, flipped shocks/arms, etc, has anyone went from the fully modded setups back to the base box stock setup with saddle packs and compared side to side on astro?

We found this at Batley outdoor track. The original KF was by far the quickest and easiest to drive car version, providing the rear tyres were good. Once the rear tyres reached a wear point, the car would randomly spin out on loose sand. Those same worn tyres would work fine on another chassis, in my case the yz2.

The track is quite bumpy, so the extra battery weight settles the car.

Strange the way these cars react to different tracks etc as we found the KF could run longest on tyres ( yellow minispikes) as the TM2 was very quick on new rubber but got slower after only 2 heats as did the YZ but the KF and B5 would last all day on one set.
This is on indoor astro med-high grip.

Racing on carpet I've had nothing but trouble with my kf and kf2 , the back end is a real problem . About to give up with it , tried various alterations and now mid motor layout and was even worse . There are a couple doing well with a kf , but it just seems to me the kf is so temperamental. We do run foams on carpet but not had any problems until using the kf , seems the front end is so responsive it punishes the back end .
