Got a question...
What's the worst that could happen if you left the sensor wire out of the speedo when turning the car on and giving it full throttle on the transmitter? (motor is wired up, but sensor wire is not connected to the speedo) Cheers ![]() |

Depends on the ESC, I've heard from guys that run LRP without the sensor cable the ESC thinks it's in brushed mode which is obviously a bad thing, but I've never been able to prove that theory.
ESC's like the Speed Passion run sensored and sensorless, so it would be a bit rough on the start but it would run no problem. |

well, i just revved my car, whilst not realising the sensor wire wasn't connected to the speedo. The motor squealed like a pig, then smoke came out of it and is now dead

Ive heard of lrp/nosram speedo's going pop when being turned on without sensor. A
