Default Kawada M300 and Couger from around 1988 and 1990

Found in the loft, my old Kawada M300 from 1987/88 period.
Still had a set of Glyn Peglar matched cells, Futabl S132h servo, futaba 27mhz RX a period brushed LRP motor (no idea of wind) and its period speed controller. Had also an an run Oscella bodyshell as well with period stickers.
Also found a Barracuda smart charger, but could not find any trace of a TX.
Have stuck a modern core RX in it, charged the cells and fired it up, all goes as per the old days.
Not that it will ever be used again, but gave a bit of fun to see if it still worked ok. Will be heading back to the loft in the near future to sit for even more years.

Another one I found was an old original Couger, modified to take saddle cells, using Corelly battery holders. This one had a set of matched Sanyo's still in it and an fwd only ESC and a Futaba s132h servo. Havnt determined what motor as yet. Again gave it a quick charge, dropped in the core RX and gave that a spin around the garden, ran well. Yet more old history to be put back in the loft again.

Amazing what you can find when your not looking for them. Pity they will never be used again but hey ho they were fun in their day.

Why not use them? Even just in the garden don't leave them to rot in the loft 😭

Granson is a tad too young at moment to make any use of them.

Great stuff - thanks for sharing the photos!

P.S; Your Cougar appears to be a Cougar 'Club10' (a later variant of the MK1 released as a 'budget' option during the release of later comp-spec 2wds - Cougar2/Cougar2000 etc)
