Has anyone tried any other saddle packs in a standard bx, other than the Trakpower 3200s.
Or has anyone managed to fit the 4800 in a standard car.? |

I've been working on this in theory anyway.
The Trakpower 4800 is 1.2" tall, and the most I can see fitting under the rear topdeck is 1.0". The SMC saddle packs are right at 1.0", so they SHOULD fit. I have an original BX with a one piece chassis, and I made a spacer for where the rear topdeck screws to the rear bulkhead. In stock form the front of the rear topdeck has 1.0" of clearance, but there is less in the rear. After the spacer is in place you might need to grind a little for belt clearance. I haven't tried one of the packs yet, but it should fit. I think the bigger problems is how to add the weight back. There is very little room to add weight. |

I tried the SMC lipos last weekend in my BX Non-Worlds. They fit with the rear top deck in the stock location. You'll have to shim the battery posts, though.
