Just got myself some of the new Schumacher Cut Stagger's for 4wd but i'm not sure if they should be run with or without an insert.
I know the standard 2wd cut staggers need an insert and the low profile version is designed to run without and insert but the new 4wd cut stagger design seems to be a combination of the two designs.... it has the same sidewall design as the low profile 2wd but isn't actually low profile so there seems to be too much sidewall movement when there's no insert. Has anyone run these yet and what have they found?

I was thinking the same thing because of the width of the tyre there's nothing supporting the centre so it'll be useless. I think 2wd inserts will be the way to go.

I was wondering how sh1t they would look, I would def run them with inserts, they give so much front end

Im glad im not the only one that was a bit confused by these!
Closed cell inserts are too firm to fit properly because of the unusual sidewall design but i'm going to try both 2wd front and 4wd front open cell inserts tomorrow and see what works best.

They'll look pants definitely. I think the standard slim ones dont give enough grip on a 2wd so these should be better in theory. If they work then fine I can forgive the appearance.

Just a quick update - I tried these last night on my bmax4 iii using med open cell 4wd front inserts and I really liked them. Much better than slim cut stagers but note quite as aggressive as mini pins on initial turn-in
Its interesting to note the the tread pattern is asymmetric so you can tune the grip to a certain degree by mounting one way round or the other.

Fitted mine with the 2wd foam inserts from Schumacher feel OK on the bench test, not yet run them, I think the look better on my 4 WD than the slim low profile 2wd ones.
