Default Servo for vintage car

I need a servo for my vintage car on the cheap. In true period style I was thinking of getting an old Futabe 148 or the old equivilent acoms and hot wiring it like we used to do back in the day.

Now I'm 100% happy doing this to a 148 or acoms because I know it used to work, but can you do it to anything else? I once did it to a Hitec and it went up in smoke.

Does anyone have an old 148 I could swap for a packet of crisps (your choice of flavour) ?

Dan

As it happens I dispise both the smell and taste of coffee!

We run sealed can 20T motors which in honesty are miles slower than even a half decent 27T stock. I'm hoping to get an old Tekin from somewhere, like a 410S or 411G or something. Receiver will have to be a trusty KO though as am not planning on jacking in my Vantage for anyone!

I have both Tekin 411G and FP-S148 servos... the only "issue" is that I'm from Spain... otherwise... they will be yours.

The 411G has a burned FEt, but the servos are in good condition if you want a better servo I also have Futaba S9301.

I sold my old Lazer ZXR a few months ago.

Rumiging through my old bits ive got a tekin 411p and a 148 in my pro-cat, thats taken on the roll of a shelf queen.

Sitting in the garage somewhere in a box ive got a lazer zx roller just needs shock seals and a bit of tlc.

Must admit i do like the sound of this vintage series, a bit of nostalger is what we need!

Only thing is you'd be scared to race then incase you total it , then you got a hell of a job trying to find spares.
