Question Why arent 10th trucks popular in the UK?

This has probably been asked before, so excuse my ignorance, but why arent 10th trucks (electric) popular here in the UK like they are in the US?

It seems to me that Americans, more often than not, prefer truggys/trucks to buggys (8th or 10th) whereas us Brits are more fond of buggies....but why is this?

And has there ever been a BRCA 1/10th electric truck section/National series??

Thanks,

Curious Cris

I remember the whole truck thing kicking off with converted buggies - I had the Storm conversion for my cougar, they were awesome.
Personally if I had a choice it would be trucks I were playing with but no one upon no one seems to run them.
May have to have a hunt and pick something up and get it down to woOdys place..

It's been to do with cells & motors - in the past - trucks are heavy on these items.

With LiPo & Brushless systems trucks seem to be on the up.

Good point well made Stu...the release of brushless/LiPo could rejuvinate interest?

The only reason I ask is cos I was looking at a JConcepts shelled T4 earlier on tinterweb....looked evil!

i think if we had some of the tracks the US have, i'd have got a truck. I bet trucks are massive fun on those huge tracks with massive jumps. Running a truck on high grip astro or grass just doesn't inspire...
