X11 questions

I'm planning on picking up an x11 08 asap but I've got a couple of queries if anyone can help please.

For spares I'm planning on all wishbones, front and rear hubs, ball joints, drive shaft blades, diff rings and front wing. Is there anything else I should pick up, crown wheels?

I'm exclusively Lipo now I'm just wondering are the trakpowers 3200's are a direct fit? They fitted in my B44 with no issues so I should imagine they will.

I've picked up a futaba 9551 servo and when I spoke to Lewis he said he can supply the relevant fixings for it, but is there anything else I need for the car/to do?

It's been a long time since I ran a pred, hopefully its a bit more reliable than my last.

Spares list sounds good; i'd get a crown wheel aswell, just incase.

I can't give any advice on lipos as i haven't tried them yet...Niggs will probably post something about that.

They are very reliable, robust cars.

Hi,

First of all i think you have made a wise purchase!!!

Have run my X11 08 3 times and the car is awesome!!!!

Depending on how hard you are on the car, will depend what spares you will need....
But for safety:

Wishbones (These are pretty solid)
Balljoints (Weakest part that i have found, and that was head on collision)
Front bumper
Spring tuning kit
Screws (always lose these)
Spur gears
One way shaft
Diff gears (make sure you run them in and add small amount of lube to gear. Then shim them)
X10 Front rockers

Make sure you loctite everything in....
The current setup we are running is the Kev Lee setup.

Not too many major changes..
35wt in the front Yellow Springs
Extra 57 hole drilled

30wt in the rear Red Spring and compensator spring
Extra 57 hole drilled

Front bumper dremmelled down to allow for better landing clearance.
Rear wing mounted as far forward as possible.

With regard lipo you are better off speaking to Nathan Ralls (Niggs98) as he has tested these.
Im sure there will be a Kev Lee setup on here very soon if not already.

lipos dont fit straight in u goyya move battery posts and

as shane says, lipos saddles arnt quite a direct fit, if someone can tell me how to post pics i will show you how to move the posts as its very simple, i have track power 3200's in mine. only other spare i would add to the list is a spur gear, they are fine but i always carry one just in case
