Just wanted to say a big thanks to the guys at Leighton Buzzard for an excellent days racing at the second National.
I'm well pleased with qualifying eighth at my first ever Micro event, and i'm looking forward to the others. The finals weren't so good, with a bad start in the first and a take out in the second putting me down to last on both counts. Lap times towards the end of the second one getting up to speed and the car felt fast all day with very little to do to make it balanced. Off to Wycombe now to get seriously 'airborne' and try to break the thing LOL |

Excellent meeting, ran well, great venue and great people. Nice to meet Chris Hampson! Looking forward to High Wycombe although very nervous of the amount of obstacles the track may have.
One comment, don't take this as a criticism guys as I know it easily can be, and I am mighty impressed with the quality of the tracks I have been to at LBRCC and Cobra. But I can't wait to race on a race track and not an obstacle course. Perhaps I should expect obstacle courses in this class? But it ain't half hard to put a clean run in whilst not colliding with other cars. Oh, impressed too with the pre-meeting emails from Ben! Very helpful. ![]() Now time to look forward, anybody got any links to pictures of High Wycombe tracks? ![]() |

There are some discussions on another forum.
Apparantly the Wycombe crew are going to start the planning of the track at their club night, tonight. From what they have said so far I think it will be an excellent track, with more of a mixed track style, rather than the sequence of jumps and features that we have had so far. I'm sure the series will hold a good variety of tracks, something to please everyone. Roll on Wycombe ![]() |

Bishop seemed to have fun at the weekend
![]() ![]() I like the sound of the points scoring system you run at Micro's. Point on qualifying which is counted twice as there are two sets of finals which score for separate round of the championship. So each meeting is actually a double header (que Lee for the joke ![]() |

It's great fun Sleigh, you see all sorts of different strategies.
Makes a change for Bish to have a good final. |

![]() The reality is that the micro clubs\classes for most are still new and everytime someone runs an event they learn something new. For the most part clubs get it right and the events sure are fun. It's actually quite hard to build an indoor track that is challenging, fun and good to race on at the same time for 10 little rats on acid that screech around at light speed. Add into the mix a bunch of aggressive (but friendly ![]() ![]() At the Wycombe national your car will fly so stick some wings on ![]() It should be one of the best tracks yet. So come along and get yourself booked in! ![]() |

This Micro racing sure is ace, it is very different to what ive been used to & I am enjoying it big time. Looking forward to High Wycombe - i'll be there on Saturday night (+Craig?).
Now then, I need to practice some obstacles!!!! ![]() The clubs I have been to so far have a lot to be proud of, very impressive, the remaining rounds have a lot to live up to. Im hopefully off to Macc this Friday (anybody know any info?) so may have photos of current layout if anybody interested. |

Awesome meeting at the weekend wasn't it! The track did have a bit to many obstacles for my liking. If things like the plates were removed and so on it could of been quite a nice flowing track, but never the less it was good fun at the racing was spot on. I was in the B-final though which i haven't been in before! God damn you 10th offroad boys knocking me down a few places, roll on wycombe and see you lot at the trackside
![]() I hope you 10th guys like our Phat Bodies wings that a few of you bought ![]()

Yep, manic from the buzzer on the first final and then even more manic on the second final ..... but I didn't get nobbled till the second corner on that one LOL
Still, i've learned a lot and was happy with the qualifying ...... just need to get the car flying straight as an arrow for the Wycombe mayhem now ![]() |
