Will that type of battery last a full race meet before it needs recharging? Dont know the first thing about the type/spec battery i would need? How do you go about charging that particular battery

Should last for a meeting say 5 charges these batteries are for a Ring power pack which uses 2 of them I bought them for my old power pack which lasted 2-3 meeting just use any car battery charger to charge them, if you had 2 I've got cables to wire them together giving you double 40amp hours.

The usual choice is a 12v leisure battery. These are happy to accept deep discharge, and won't fail early like a car 12v battery. You get what you pay for - this one lasted me over five years regularly racing and running six charges a meeting and the odd use of a 12v iron. HTH
