Default Dex410 - Lack of room!!!

Hi guys

Got myself a 410 V3 as they were going cheap. Finally built it, but to be honest its driving me nuts.

Took me forever to figure out how the hell I was going to cram the electrics in to the tiny amount odd room available. On the ninth attempt at a layout I cracked it.

Now I can't get the body shell to fit. Aaaaaaarrrrggghhhh!!!!

Please tell me its not just me being a numpty and I'm not on my own with having this problem.

Cheers
Andy

You gotta keep it neat and a micro receiver really helps! I Velcro my Orion r10 capacitors to the end of my motor!!

I fitted a Novak and a Futaba in one so it can't be that hard. Don't be afraid of the servo horn or the spur being 1mm away from things either. If everything is stuck down solid straight to the chassis - not that silly plastic thing that moves then they won't touch.

Thanks for the help guys.

Looked at the pics. Think I'm going to have to re-wire/shorten pretty much all of the esc, motor and battery wires. Great!

Also given the quick test drive on the street I think I'm going to have a problem with glitching due to interference between receiver and motor wires. I can't see that I can move anything. Is there anything you can use to shield the wires to lower the interference?

Cheers
Andy

What electrics are you running?

you could always have a strip of lexan with several holes in it and thread the RX wire through them and use an existing screw to mount it somewhere safe

post a pic of your current setup, we can give you some pointers. but to echo the other comments on here, look at the various threads to see how others have done it and you will need short motor wires for certain.
