Default New to 1/8th, need info

Hi guys
Looks like i am going to have a little foray into the 1/8th world with the new mugen mbx-7 eco m-spec & as i know zero about 1/8th i am after advise about the electrics & anything else you can think is relevant
What's hot & what's not when it comes to esc, motors, servo's & lipos?
Most of my running will be a Herts & Slough so any advice on tyres & inserts be it dirt or astro would be most appreciated, also what other tracks are around within around 50-100 miles of st albans?
Cheers in advance
Gainsy

Electrics is down to choice, and BUDGET, so what is it and will throw you some links up.

Yep nice I have two Viper VTX8. I run 4s in one buggy and 6s on another set up for next year to see how that works out

KMRC (Kent Model Rallycross Club) - is approximately 65 miles from St Albans, is a tremendous track (indeed was the best attended in the Southern Regional Series by some distance) with quite a large electric crowd already.

The website is poor so check it out on facebook instead.

Edit

I should add its at Linton just south of Maidstone.

Cheers fella, yep herts will be my main venue for 2014, been on the fab astro track many times but the dirt track is something else, can't wait
What tyres would you recommend for both tracks?

With the Release of the 2014 Xray, I would be looking at a Brushless platform like the S Workz

Astro schumacher minipins new for wet, bit worn on dry.

Dirt when dry something like beta vmax, aka impact in supersoft this time of year, when wet I like beta enforcer supersoft.

See you on track

I recommend beta tyres bud probably the cheapest around plus Nemo racing who distribute them are at nearly every meet and they work really well at herts
