Default kyosho zx6

I hear through the grapevine that the zx6 is not to be released due to its poor showing at the recent world championships. where does this leave kyosho as the zx5 is not a brilliant car. How many drivers do you think kyosho will have next year in the uk??????

I imagine that more than likely there will be some revisions but I am sure it will be released sooner or later.. they have to just to keep up with all the other new offerings recently released or soon to be.

Not sure about their current car being so bad either

I don't think the car is particularly bad but with all the new cars coming out soon I would have thought they would have done something a little different and more exiting. also I have heard that kyosho don't treat there drivers particularly well and especially in Elliott boots's case. I have been around the 1/8th scene a while now and cant believe how the fastest 1/8th driver in the world is treated.

This thread is about the prototype zx6.. lets not start a witch hunt about who said what to who and poke a load of gossip at a particular drivers/manufacturers way on an open forum.

I cant wait for the new kyosho 4wd to come out, im not a particular fan of 4wd but kyosho and losi are making me itch to give it a go again.

I think this is a good thing. Got to be better than releasing lots of cars one after the other like some manufacturers.

Lots of gossip here! If Boots was treated that bad, don't you think he would be on another team by now?

Of course we expected a better race from Kyosho at the 4wd worlds, but sh!t happens, Tebo had lots of breakages and bad luck (faulty ESC). 2 ZX-6 were on the B main. I don't know what happened to Boots, but 1/10th is not his prime class and the level of this race was huge.
I don't think you can have a definite opinion of a car on one of its first races, while in prototype stage, on such a hard and difficult track.

Maybe the "poor showing" is not a bad thing, now Kyosho does not have so much customer pressure for an early release of the ZX-6. Make it the best they can so we can enjoy a car on pair with the RB6
To be honest the ZX-5 is still awesome, I'm not sure I really "need" another 4wd!

I love my ZX5 it can be a bit fragile up front on big jumps but other than that I love it.

From what I have read,I interpreted that the ZX6 was a car created for the big jump USA style dirt track and was very much prototype. the team had some bad luck especially in the case of tebo who seemed to have days like us normal mortals have, with electrical glitches etc, think his bad showing was more to orion than kyosho.

He did say in his blog tho the kyosho designer felt he had let the guys down and was not a hoppy bunny with the 4wd

we are all excited about the new losi, but that didn't have the best of worlds luck eather

Default Update

Just to explain again to everyone what we have been saying regarding ZX6

The car is being developed all the time, we hoped that the car could get a result at worlds and that might confirm the work done so far was positive.
Remember the Worlds is the time where you can see where you are in the world with regards to rest of the teams. Of course it was disappointing not to get a better result, Due to this there is no need to rush the car and get it out there to get sales benefits. The RB6 has had strong sales last 2 weeks simply as it was the car that won the worlds.
We think the new car in development handles quite different and apart from Tebo most had little or none practice before the worlds. In my opinion they may have been better to run with the current car, but as always hindsight is always easy to make a claim.

I was upset to hear the claim about Elliott being treated badly so I called him and his dad to make a post on here but as they are not oople members they asked me to quote them "Elliott is very happy with the support and help he has had over the last 2 years" He won every round of the nationals last year by a huge margin in most of the finals. I can't remember anyone dominating a year like Elliott did in 2012. He was running all the products we import and did a fantastic job for us. This year he changed a few things and it was a real tough start to 2013. He turned this around at last national and got an easy win.

I would ask AK47 to call me in the Kyosho office if he wants to discuss further, please reveal who you are?
