What do the camera gurus think of this?
http://www.srsmicrosystems.co.uk/162...mm-Lenses.html the camera gets good write ups and i want a good alround lens to go with the body for general photography. Honest opinions please but i dont want a xxx cr vs B4 debate or oven a mac vs PC debate. cheers Lee ![]() |

Lee, the camera is a superb bit of kit, those lenses less so but together they cover a decent range and are plenty good enough to get you going. Be aware you'll actually have to get off your arse and learn a bit about photography as it doesn't have the hand-holding modes (sport, landscape, portrait etc) of rival models.
I use the older model K10, haven't yet been able to justify the cost of upgrading to the K20, which has dropped in price literally today! Might be tempted to do the Pentax 18-55 and Tamron 70-300 kit instead at £100 less if it were my money though... Check my posts in various threads on here or the website in my sig to see what Pentax gear can do. |

Cheers pete,
I was actually looking at the K10 but a lot of the shops said it was discontinued, and while it is still an awesome camera i just thought i had better play safe. I have seen some of your work Pete, you are a lucky boy ![]() I will be asking for tips though and i need to find an idiots guide to photography, i dont mind doing a bit of learning i think its more satisfying when you get a good photo than using a point and shoot ![]() |
