Default eBay selling - explain it to me!

I'm looking to sell some stuff via eBay in the near future. One is the car I've got advertised on here.
Can someone run me through the pro's and con's of doing this? I've only ever bought on eBay before.

Thanks

Totally agree with the above also ebay does, probably, give you the best chance of making a sale quickly. I've sold quite a lot on it but you do encounter idiots with stupid questions (some prospective buyers seem unable to read a listing) and even more wanting you to end the auction early for a miserable offer.

You could always put the car in the trader?

Autotrader could be a better option. They give give you a free valuation under their selling option and you pay by the time listed.
